Lauren Brinson
is an interdisciplinary artist from Corner Brook, Newfoundland where she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Visual Arts) at Grenfell Campus, Memorial University, including a semester abroad in Old Harlow, England.
She achieved her MFA from the University of Victoria, British Columbia.
At present, her practice explores value structures in cultural textile practices through their relationships between utility and aesthetics. Through active and passive objects, Brinson works to remind, implicate, and question tacit bodily associations to textiles.
